How To Reset Your Password

This knowledgebase article will offer step-by-step instructions on how students can reset their passwords through myBU. This password will allow students to access Canvas, myBU, and school-affiliated Microsoft applications and websites.

1: Resetting your password

Go to myBU and select "BU Password Reset"

2: Verify your BU email address

The link will take you to the Microsoft Online Password Reset, where you need to enter your email and perform a reCAPTCHA.
Select "Next"

3: Choose a method to verify your identity.

After selecting your preferred method, either enter the verification code sent to you or answer the security questions. Once completed successfully, you will be prompted to enter a new password.

Once changed your new password can take up to 30 minutes to fully propagate across all BU systems.
